Why cheap systems fail in Phoenix
Undersized softeners regenerate constantly
A box-store unit sized for "average" water runs out fast on 15+ grain Phoenix water, burns salt, and wears out its valve. We size by grains × people × usage, with room to spare.
Phoenix uses chloramine, not just chlorine
Standard carbon filters barely touch it. It's why "filtered" water can still taste off — and why chloramine chews up cheap softener resin. We use catalytic carbon and chlorine-resistant resin where the water calls for it.
"Salt-free softeners" don't remove hardness
They can change how scale forms; the minerals are still in the water. Sometimes that's the right tool — usually it isn't. We'll tell you straight which one you need.
RO without pre-treatment dies early

Do you work on systems you didn't sell?
Yes — Fleck, Clack and most standard valves. Repairs, rebeds, membrane swaps.
How long should a good softener last?
A well-sized unit on a quality valve, serviced now and then, commonly runs 15+ years. Resin usually needs replacing sooner in chloramine water — we'll check it.
What's a rebed?
Replacing the resin (and sometimes carbon) inside the tank. It brings a tired softener back for a fraction of a new system.

Are you licensed?
Water Solutions LLC is not a licensed contractor. Our work is limited to jobs that qualify under Arizona's handyman exemption (A.R.S. §32-1121) — repair and service work.
